52.7 Stand-alone PS Attach and Detach

In this section we will perform explicit PS attach and detach operations in isolation. One reason for doing this could be to measure the time taken by these operations, particularly for the purpose of computing KPIs. We will reuse the configuration sets and activities from sections "Setting Up a Network Connection" and "Setting Up a Data Service Activity".

We begin with the FTP download workflow from section "Setting Up a Data Service Activity".

At the start of this workflow, add a "PS Detach" and a "PS Attach" activity, in that order (they are found in the IP category). This will detach the device from the PS network and then reattach the device.
