14.3.3 Measurement and Service Testing Options
Measurements and services not mentioned in this section require nothing more than the Base Software package license.
14.3.3.1. sQLEAR
sQLEAR is a new, innovative Voice QoE Algorithm, trained using the latest machine learning techniques, validated and evaluated in conformance with ITU standard evaluation procedures and requirements. Infovista's new Voice QoE algorithm uses a combination of network parameters, codec/client information and reference audio to predict MOS scores with proven high accuracy for VoLTE services using EVS (including full bandwidth, 24.4kHz). The network and codec/client centric view ensures the benefit of providing scores comparable between different device models. Its transparency to devices makes it very suitable for benchmarking scenarios for which independency of the device type and firmware is more desirable.
It is possible to use the sQLEAR algorithm when performing AQM measurements on VoLTE calls using English3 sentences and EVS codecs up to 24.4 kHz.
14.3.3.2. AQM (PESQ/POLQA)
A separate license option is required for calculating PESQ or POLQA and making other audio quality measurements. Audio quality measurement is supported for LTE (VoLTE), WCDMA, GSM, and CDMA. For POLQA, license options are differentiated with respect to the number of devices in concurrent use, as indicated in section
"List of GLS License Add-ons for TEMS Investigation".
The same license option covers all AQM solutions for CS voice: see the User's Manual, section
"Measurement Setups in TEMS Investigation".
Notes on On-device AQM
For certain ODM POLQA capable devices, the PC-based AQM license can be replaced by a device-based one which is valid for that device alone.
Notes on AQM Module Based Solutions
AQM modules (see the User's Manual, chapter
"AQM for CS Voice with AQM Modules") are no longer offered for sale, but previously purchased AQM modules can still be used with
TEMS Investigation. An AQM license permits connecting any number of AQM modules. An AQM license is also required for merging AQM uplink data (from a CallGenerator) into logfiles, which is done using the logfile export function described in the User's Manual, section
"Merging Uplink AQM Data into Logfiles".
14.3.3.3. HTTP Streaming with VQmon
A separate license option is required for streaming over HTTP with VQmon streaming quality measurement.
For the service testing setup, see the User's Manual, section
"Video Quality".
14.3.3.4. Iperf with Password Encryption
An SSH license option is required for Iperf testing with SSH2, where the device logs in to the Iperf server using an encrypted password.
For the service testing setup, see the User's Manual, section
"Network Bandwidth (Iperf)".
14.3.3.5. ODM (On-device Measurement)
On-device services do not require any special license options on the PC. On the other hand, most ODM services require a device-based license.
See the User's Manual, chapter
"On-device Measurement" for an overview of on-device measurement.
14.3.3.6. SFTP (Secure Shell FTP)
An SSH license option is required for file transfer over SFTP. This is an option in FTP testing; see the User's Manual, sections
"FTP Download"–
"FTP Upload".
