15.1.3 Software
General
.NET Framework version 4.7.1 must be installed on the PC. It is included in the TEMS Investigation installation package and will be installed automatically if not already present.
Microsoft Network Monitor (NetMon) is used by TEMS Investigation as IP sniffer and must be present. It is installed along with TEMS Investigation.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or later required for HTML-format logfile report.
HTTP Get, HTTP Post
Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or later required for HTTP download/upload testing with Internet Explorer: see the User's Manual, sections "HTTP Get", "HTTP Post".
Streaming
Streaming over HTTP using an on-device client ("HTTP UE" option): On devices running an Android version older than 4.2, version 5.3.24 of the Android YouTube app is required. This version of the app is part of the ODM HTTP Streaming service. Note: The YouTube app must not be upgraded to a newer version that never runs sessions in HTTP (that is, unencrypted) mode but always uses HTTPS. Very few measurements can be extracted from an encrypted stream. Be sure to disable automatic software updates in Google Play on the device, and uninstall any updates that may already have been received. – Under Android 4.2 and later, the above requirement does not apply, as the streaming service is implemented differently.
Streaming over HTTP with PEVQ-S using an on-device browser ("HTTP UE PEVQ-S" option): Android Chrome Shell required. A utility for installing Chrome Shell is provided with TEMS Investigation; follow the instructions in the Device Configuration Guide, chapter "Preparations for Streaming with PEVQ-S".
KPI Reporting
SQL Server 2012 or 2014 required to process logfiles into a database. The Express edition is sufficient.
Microsoft Excel 2013 required to view report output.
For the Map report; the free Power View plugin, Microsoft Silverlight 5 and a working Internet connection are needed.
