52.28.6 Conference Calls

TEMS Investigation supports 3-way conference (group) calls i.e. voice calls involving three parties. M2M CS and VoLTE calls are supported, between GSM, UMTS and LTE devices. To enable conferencing on a device, you must install the TEMS Dialer on the device that will own the conference . To enable conferencing in your script, you must set the Multi-party calling setting to Merge in the Dial or Answer activity in the party in the 2-party call that links to the third party (this party owns the conference).
To set up a 3-way conference call:

Establish a normal (2-way) voice call - party A dials party B

Party A or B dials the third party, C, to add them to the conference; the Dial activity (in A or B) must have Multi-party calling set to Merge.

OR

The third party, C, dials Party A or B, to join the conference; the Answer activity (in A or B) must have Multi-party calling set to Merge.

The party in red (with two "legs") owns the conference:

To shut down a 3-way conference call:

Any party can end the conference by using the Hang Up activity, which makes it leave the conference

The other two parties will be returned to a normal (2-way) call which either can then end by using Hang Up

The following events have been added to the logfiles so you can distinguish call types during post-processing:
