For circuit-switched, Media Quality information elements are populated by AQM-capable devices; these are listed in the Device Configuration Guide, section "Supported AQM Capable Devices". In the course of VoIP testing, Media Quality information elements can be populated by any device used for that purpose (that is, almost any device that can be used for data transfer).

The precise set of Media Quality elements that is obtained depends on the AQM testing configuration and, in some of these configurations, on what hardware is used at the other end. For full details, see chapter "Support for Media Quality IEs with AQM Solutions".

One further limitation is that during CS voice testing, PESQ is not computed for the AMR-WB speech codec. This limitation does not apply to VoIP.
