1.4 System Requirements
1.4.1 Software Requirements
TEMS Discovery can only run on Microsoft Windows 64-bit Operating Systems that are compatible with Microsoft .NET framework version 4.8 or later. All validated and approved operating system for TEMS Discovery are listed below:
• Microsoft Windows 11 Professional / Enterprise 64 bits
• Microsoft Windows 10 Professional / Enterprise 64 bits
• Microsoft Windows Server 2022 64 bits (GUI/Desktop Experience mode)
• Microsoft Windows Server 2019 64 bits (GUI/Desktop Experience mode)
• Microsoft Windows Server 2016 64 bits (GUI/Desktop Experience mode)
The following components are optional:
• Microsoft Office Excel is required to open Excel files generated by TEMS Discovery Report Engine.
• PDF viewer such as Adobe PDF Reader is required to open PDF files generated by TEMS Discovery Report Engine.
• Microsoft SQL Server (2022 Enterprise, 2022 Standard, 2019 Enterprise, 2019 Standard, 2017 Enterprise, 2017 Standard), applicable to Enterprise Database Mode only. SQL server is typically deployed in a different machine, in case it is deployed in the same machine, additional hardware requirements and proper configuration is required.
1.4.2 Hardware Requirements
The minimum and recommended requirements for a typical single user environment within TEMS Discovery are listed below:
• Recommended configuration: 2.0GHz CPU, 4 cores, 8 logical threads, 16GB RAM, 250GB hard disk with minimum of 150 IOPS.
• Recommended configuration is based on the default 4 concurrent import threads. Each additional import thread requires minimum of one additional logical thread and 4GB RAM. Hard disk space depends on the anticipated data size and processing capacity but every additional of concurrent importing requires additional 100 IOPS.
