3.2 Service Configuration
 
Service configuration window will be displayed automatically if services are not configured correctly. All servers are required to have static IP address with ports configured made open through firewall. Please ensure that TEMS Discovery is ran as ‘Administrator’ before further changes are made.
 
 
Provide a username and password to run the services
HTTP port for dispatcher can be left empty.
Select ‘Database Management Service’ from the drop-down list, type in server machine IP address and port number with number of import threads set to 0.
Select ‘Data Processor Service’ from the drop-down list, type in server machine IP address, port number and number of concurrent data import threads (by default use 50% of total available system threads, number of threads can’t exceed 80). Please ensure that minimum of 20 consecutive ports counting from ‘Data Processor Service’ port number are opened through firewall.
Click ‘Save’ so save the configuration.
3.2.1 Adding user to Logon as a Service
Go to Windows ‘Administrative Tools’ and double click on ‘Local Security Policy’.

Expand ‘Local Policies’, select ‘User Rights Assignments’ and double click on ‘Log on as a service’ option.

Click on ‘Add User or Group’ button.

Add new domain user, press OK and then Apply, OK.

Launch TEMS Discovery Enterprise with administrative privilege.
Service Configuration window referred at the top of the paragraph will appear first time TEMS Discovery is launched.
Newly added domain user and password may be added along with server details. Press Save button to save new service configuration.
